TIOS is proud to have successfully become an official Testing Centre for the following prestigious programs. As a prominent private school in the GTA, we are one of the few schools with certification to act as a Testing Centre in all of these areas … just one more reason that TIOS is your ticket to success!
1. American Math Competitions (AMC)
The AMC (American Mathematics Competitions) are a series of challenging, curriculum-based mathematics contests for middle and high school students in grades 6-12, designed to foster analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and serve as the first step in a national pathway to the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). The series includes the AMC8, AMC10 and AMC12, with high performers on the AMC 10/12 invited to further exams like the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME). TIOS is an official Testing Centre for the AMC, one of the most prestigious high school Math competitions in the world. Top universities such as MIT request AMC scores from applicants.

3. Advanced Placement (AP)

These courses and exams can lead to college credit or advanced standing in post-secondary institutions. Students develop critical thinking, research, and time management skills while exploring subjects in depth. Successful AP Exam scores (often 3 or higher on a 1-5 scale) allow students to potentially earn credit, save on university tuition, and gain a competitive edge in college admissions. AT TIOS, AP courses are currently offered in English, Physics and Calculus.
