Punam Dhaliwal graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, with a specialist degree in English. She also holds a Master of Arts in English Literature from Western University and a Bachelor of Education from York University. Punam has been teaching for over thirteen years, and is currently a Curricular Head of English in the Peel District School Board. She combines her passion for teaching and her love for literature by incorporating the perspectives and writings of authors from marginalized identities to encourage students to explore new ideas and critically engage with the world around them. Beyond the classroom, Punam enjoys cooking, running, and travelling to new places.
