With a Master of Education from OISE at the University of Toronto, a Master of Translation & Interpretation, and a BA in Education, Jan has spent years immersed in teaching, research, and student services—both in China and Canada. You could say he speaks fluent "education" (and a few other languages, too). Teaching has been one of the most rewarding adventures of his life, second only to parenting three energetic kids who are arguably tougher to manage than a classroom of regular students. When he is not in the academic world, you will find him on the track, powerlifting in the gym, or cheering at a hockey game. I dabble in just about every sport.
