University of Waterloo Math & Computing Contests

The University of Waterloo hosts a series of internationally recognized mathematics and computing competitions, including the Canadian Senior Mathematics Contest (CSMC), the Canadian Intermediate Mathematics Contest (CIMC), the Euclid Contest, and the Canadian Computing Competition (CCC). These contests challenge students to demonstrate creative problem-solving, logical reasoning, and mathematical depth, and they are respected by top universities around the world as strong indicators of academic excellence in STEM fields. TIOS is proud to serve as an official Testing Centre for these Waterloo contests.

TIOS Support and Preparation:
TIOS offers specialized training for Waterloo’s math and computing contests at both intermediate and senior levels. Our CSMC, CIMC, and Euclid preparation courses focus on competition-style problem solving, proof writing, and advanced concepts in algebra, geometry, and combinatorics. For the CCC, students are guided through algorithm design, logic development, and coding practice in Python or C++. Each program includes timed mock exams, detailed solution walkthroughs, and strategic feedback to help students achieve top scores and recognition from the University of Waterloo.
