American Math Competitions (AMC)

The AMC (American Mathematics Competitions) are a series of challenging, curriculum-based mathematics contests for middle and high school students in grades 6–12, designed to foster analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and serve as the first step in a national pathway to the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO). The series includes the AMC8, AMC10 and AMC12, with high performers on the AMC 10/12 invited to further exams like the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME). TIOS is an official Testing Centre for the AMC, one of the most prestigious high school Math competitions in the world. Top universities such as MIT request AMC scores from applicants.

TIOS Support and Preparation:
At TIOS, we offer dedicated AMC preparation programs for students aiming to excel in AMC8, AMC10, and AMC12. Our math enrichment curriculum focuses on advanced problem-solving, logical reasoning, and pattern recognition skills. Students receive guided instruction from experienced competition coaches, weekly practice sessions, and mock tests modeled on official AMC papers. These targeted supports help students build confidence, improve accuracy, and qualify for higher-level contests such as the AIME.
